In this fast-phased world, technology has been a vital part of our daily lives. From the moment we wake up, majority of us tend to grab our own smartphones to check if we have new SMS, missed calls, new Facebook messages or perhaps an e-mail from our boss before we get out of bed and kick-off a busy day.

During the times we are bored or felt like not doing anything, say waiting for your next meeting, it has become some sort of a reflex response that we immediately grab our own smartphone to get us entertained or be pre-occupied with something like playing Candy Crush Saga, listening to an up-to-date playlist from Spotify, sharing a good photo of your surrounding on Instagram and whole lot more.

As a consumer who’s been used to these kinds of scenario on a daily basis, there will be times that you will feel that your current smartphone may not be enough to handle all of these tasks in longer hours of the day or perform the way you expected your smartphone to be. You know what, I could totally relate to that.

Good thing Google partnered with Huawei recently. With this partnership blossomed a really powerful smartphone and new addition to the Google Nexus family that’s worthy of your consideration if you are currently looking for your next ultimate smartphone. Now let me talk about the top five things I personally love about this flagship device.

The Huawei Nexus 6P looks and feels premium

It has a premium build. Expect your seatmate’s jaw to drop when they see you holding it. Its always the outside that’s get noticed first. As for the Huawei Nexus 6P, looking awesome is an understatement. It’s premium build is definitely one of the key features of this device that makes it a stand out. The curved metal shell of the Nexus 6P is crafted from aeronautical-grade anodized aluminum, the same material used in building aircrafts. Not to mention that it’s a full-metal unibody phablet in form factor, making it easier for your seatmate not to notice.

The 5.7-inches WQHD (2560 x 1140) AMOLED display + Corning Gorilla Glass 4 is a perfect combo. Are you tired of zooming in your eyes if the content on your current smartphone seems so small? Well the 5.7 inch AMOLED display of the Huawei Nexus 6P will give you even more stunning details (thanks to the 518 ppi count on the screen too) which I love, that means HD entertainment on my pocket, accessible wherever I go.

On top of this, to be honest, I’m the kind of a clumsy smartphone user, which means, my smartphone ends up on the floor at most (unexpected) times. With the smartphone’s Corning Gorilla Glass 4, I can now expect my device to withstand drops for up to two times better than any competitive glass designs, which is by far, the toughest in the industry today. Sweet!

It is powered by the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor + 3GB RAM, which means it’s a stellar device that delivers. Looks can be sometimes deceiving, but with the Huawei Nexus 6P, it’s not just all about the outside. Talking about the performance of the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor that powers the device, it is way behind Apple’s iPhone 6S Plus when it comes to processor performance tests. Heading over to our friends from Versus, they have provided an informative guide that will help us see the advantages of Huawei Nexus 6P processor over Apple iPhone 6S Plus’s latest processor. And here’s what I figured out:

Huawei Nexus 6P’s Snapdragon 810 v2.1 uses the so-called big.LITTLE technology, an architecture designed for ARM chipsets that has the capability to switch between two sets of processor cores in order to maximise performance and battery life. In other terms, when playing a game, the more powerful cores will be used to increase performance, whereas checking email will use the less powerful cores to maximize battery life, a really smart move to improve the battery life of any smartphone powered by the chip. And as for the 3GB RAM, you have ample room for all of your apps so that you can run them all simultaneously with a little to non-lag at all.

Now, can you feel that this flagship device can match your expectations? I’m pretty sure it will. But wait, we’re not done yet! there’s more.

It has marvelous rear and front cameras that will make your dream Instagram grid a reality. Are you the kind of traveler who brings in more than one camera in your hand-carry baggage? In your bag, you’ll find a DSLR that’s too bulky to handle which you’ve set as your primary camera, then of course your smartphone a secondary camera (usually used when the DSLR battery goes low and during situations where you need a more handy camera to capture moments, which includes selfies).

With the Huawei Nexus 6P, you’re now relieved with the fact that your smartphone can now take DSLR-like shots with its 12.3 MP (with 1.55µm pixel size) rear camera and pretty neat selfies due to its 8MP front camera (with 1.4µm pixel size) that you can brag on Instagram, hence, lightweight travelling while at the same time building the Instagram grid that you have dreamt of having a long time ago.  By the way, here are some of the photos taken from by our friends from Flickr across different locations around the world. These are the shots that you can expect to have with the Huawei Nexus 6P.

It has a long-lasting battery and fast-charging with USB Type-C. Drops mic. As they say, what will you do with a top-performing smartphone if you can’t use it throughout the day? I’ve got to say, this smartphone is not lacking in the battery department as it has longer battery life than the following flagship devices in the market to date. Thanks to its phablet form factor, Huawei had the opportunity to store in a bigger battery for the phone.

Huawei Nexus 6P 3450 mAh
Microsoft Lumia 950 XL 3340 mAh
Samsung Galaxy S7 3000 mAh
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ 3000 mAh
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 3000 mAh
iPhone 6S Plus 2915 mAh

But if you will think of it, bigger battery means longer charging time. But as for the charging time of Huawei Nexus 6P, you don’t have to worry about it as it has USB Type-C so you don’t have to wait for a longer time for it to become 100% charged. This works as well when you’re going to transfer files, that the transfer rate is at 10Gbps, which is double the transfer speed of USB 3.0 (only at 5 Gbps).

Looks, Performance of hardware, Camera, and Battery life – these are essentially the top things that matter to you (at least) as a smartphone user, all of which are the traits that the amazing Huawei Nexus 6P possesses. Summing it all up, having this flagship device will let you be more empowered as a person in facing your daily routines, may it be at school or work, not only with regards to the hardware side, but also with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and apps available on the platform on the software side. Hence, making you have a feel of not only living with a king, but more of like making you live like a king.
